The building will be named Xiaomi Wuhan HQ and will accommodate 10 000 employees. Employed persons will be responsible for many directions of development of the Chinese giant, among others for: AI, IoT, Mi Cloud, E-commerce and the financial sector.
The new headquarters will be divided into two parts. The orange section is office space, and the blue one is the buffet area and exhibitions. Lei Jun said he hopes that a favorable location in central China and many prestigious universities around will allow Wuhan to become the Chinese Silicon Valley.
The new building is to be completed already in the fourth quarter of the 2019 year.
