The Aqara brand was presented a few months ago by a smart home control unit cooperating with the iOS operating system. The central unit would allow the connection of Xiaomi devices to the Dom on iPhone application, but the reality turned out to be brutal. Only a few newly presented sensors / circuit breakers could be added to the new control unit. Recently Aqara presented a compatible light bulb and now presents a new outlet.
Aqara presents a new socket cooperating with HomeKit
The smart socket allows remote control of the device connected to it from the iPhone. Do you have a socket behind the sofa that turns on the additional lighting and you do not want to move the furniture? Thanks to the remote controlled socket, you can do it with the help of an iPhone, or by voice using Siri.
If you have more devices, then you can create scenes. The defined operation of one HomeKit device triggers the automatic reaction of the other. In addition to the remote control socket also offers time switch and wattmeter - you will find out how much the connected device is consuming.
You can connect any device whose power consumption in continuous operation does not exceed 1875W to the socket. TV, console, it is peacefully within this limit. Only kitchen appliances or water heaters working for many hours could "burn" the socket.
Remember to make the socket work you must have Aqara smart home control. If you want to buy a new outlet, it is already available on AliExpress. Important note, the socket will not match the "Polish sockets" - you must use an adapter.
