When driving a car, I try to ensure the greatest possible visibility, which is why I do not like to mount anything on the glass. If I have to, I want it to be as small as possible. Regarding the recorder, I had no choice but to mount it on the windshield. 70Mai Pro 1944p it is small enough that it is practically hidden behind the mirror and I am not losing sight of anything. The second device that must be in view while driving is a smartphone, mainly due to navigation. Due to the fact that I did not want to look at the window, I was looking for alternatives and found the handles in the air.
Roidmi Car Holder - unfortunately not
The first handle in the airbag I bought was Roidmi Car Holder. It consists of two parts and works on a magnet: one is put in the air and the other is glued to the back of the smartphone. I do not like to wear a smartphone case, and I will not stick a metal badge on the "backs of the back". As for the case, I proceed from the assumption that the producers do not create beautiful devices to mar the casings. That's why I carried the case in which I put the smartphone in my car in the glove box when I was going on tour. Unfortunately..
Experience has shown that the combination of grip in the air + glue is a bad connection. In the car I have set the temperature 20 degrees and when the ventilation began to warm up this case together with the smartphone has come off and fell. The rest, or handle with the metal plate, was still in place. Fortunately, the smartphone screen survived the fall and I began to look for another grip.
The second type of holders in the airflow - three legs
Browsing the Chinese online stores I found the next handles in the air, but with a more reliable in my opinion, holding a smartphone. The principle of operation is simple, the handle has three legs: one on the bottom and two on the sides. If the pressure is applied to the bottom one, the side clamps and holds the smartphone. The first such type of handle I bought the No Name company. The quality of work left much to be desired, as long as the system of three legs was still acceptable, the jaws that held the grip in the air were weak. They did not squeeze the elements of the ventilation enough to keep the whole construction and everything fell out, total failure.
Xiaomi presented another CooWoo handle
In Roidmi Car Holder the jaws tightened well, and the problem was in holding the smartphone. In the No Name holder, the smartphone was acceptable and the jaws were weak. Fortunately, Xiaomi presented on the Youpin platform another handle, this time the CooWoo brand that seemed perfect. After experiencing the previous ones, he met all the requirements. The CooWoo car holder has a three-leg system, and as for holding it in the air, it has a spring that tightens very much. Definitely harder than the Roidmi which was only inserted, here you should hold the button on the top to "open the jaws".
The entire CooWoo design is very simple. The kit includes three elements: handle - tripod, nut and jaws in the air supply. Jaws in the side of the smartphone are finished with a ball, so we can adjust the handle at the right angle. When set, it is enough to tighten the nut and the whole construction of the handle will be stable. Then place it in the airflow by holding the spring at the top and insert the smartphone. Pressure on the lower leg causes the upper jaws to clamp. It's not enough that I do not have to put the case any time to use the handle, now there is no risk of sticking. I would like to point out that when you take the CooWoo handle into your hand, it will give the impression of a poorly made, plastic, the mechanism will be loose - I did too, but it works very well in everyday use.
The CooWoo holder is designed for smartphones with a diagonal screen size from 4,5 to 6 inches. This is the best I've used so far, I definitely recommend it! It is available for purchase on AliExpress.
