After a few weeks, this day finally came, at the Redmi conference in China the first Xiaomi sub-brand TV, Redmi TV, was presented.
The Redmi TV has an 70 inch screen. Allows you to view the image in 4K UHD quality. The computing power is responsible for the sixth-generation Amlogic processor of the sixth generation, supported by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, e.g. for photos and applications. The "smart" function connects to our router via Wi-Fi in two ranges 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz. On the back of the case is 3x HDMI and 2x USB when we want to connect an external disk or USB stick. Everything closed in a housing with narrow frames around the screen.
The TV set is equipped with the PatchWall system which uses the Xiaomi AI voice assistant for operation. The remote control is the same design as in Xiaomi Mi Box. It connects to the TV via Bluetooth, so there is no need to aim at the infrared diode. The remote control has a built-in microphone for voice control, for communication with Xiao AI.
Redmi TV 70 ″ has been priced in China at 3799 yuan, or $ 530. Orders can be placed today and TV sets will hit 10 September. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no information on global sales of the TV.
I ordered the Xiaomi 55 ″ 4K UHD TV in China
Last week I informed on Twitter about buying a Xiaomi TV directly in China. I placed my order at a Banggood store. I wanted to check how it is with such large packages, whether it will be VAT, whether the TV will arrive in full. Unfortunately, yesterday I received information that the product is Out of Stock and it is not known whether it will be sent. If I get more information, I will let you know in social media what the final of my attempt to download a large TV from China will be.
