I have repeatedly said that the Xiaomi product which has the largest share on the market is not a smartphone, but a Mi band. From the 1s version, in which a heart rate monitor has been added to the wristband, it is the best-selling device of its type in the world. Each subsequent generation has been and is very much sought after by consumers.
Xiaomi is a definite leader of wrist devices in India
The latest IDC analyst report presents sales results of wrist devices in India in the second quarter of this year. Xiaomi, of course, ranks first, the part of the market that they captured for themselves is impressive, is up 45,8%.
Equipment sales in the second quarter exceeded one million units. This is an increase of 66% compared to the previous year and 40% comparing sales quarterly. On the remaining places the podium is unchanged. The second place is held by "other manufacturers" and GoQii takes third place.
The main product that pushes the Xiaomi statistics up is presented 31 May Mi Band 3. The introduction of a larger and tactile OLED screen was very much to the fans' liking. There are no perfect products and it is the same with Mi Band. Use by people who do physical work and are exposed to accidental contact with another object may be problematic. Mi Band 3 has a protruding screen that is conducive to breaking, but it looks much better than Mi Banda 2.
A special edition will go on sale any day Mi Banda 3 who will own NFC, allowing you to pay tactile wrist on the territory of China.
