I have been switching from a laptop screen to an external monitor for a few days. I found that I need more space for a more comfortable work. I have a monitor, mouse and keyboard as well. I missed one mouse pad. However, I wanted something better than a piece of plastic, I found the following product. The mouse pad with inductive charging, and that Xiaomi is involved in this product, the more I said I wanted to.
The product was created by MIIIW. The company MIIIW is one of the dozens of companies cooperating with the Chinese giant, Xiaomi. So far, in their offer, they have three mice and one washer that has reached me today.
Mouse pad with inductive charging
The pad is stiff, it is not folded, so it must be packed in a large box. The dimensions of the washer are 420 x 260 mm. The box was made of hard cardboard, there is no risk of damage to the parcel, although there are numerous but minimal dents in it. It's nice to see English words on the back of the box that contain the most important information about the product.
From the inside of the box, the foam was attached at the top to prevent the pad from moving inside the box and to provide even better protection. The MIIIW pad occupies practically the entire surface, on the right there are two additional accessories for the set. Charger and cable for connection. A manual in Chinese is also included.

The pad is large, larger than the 15 inch Xiaomi Notebook Pro. In the bottom left corner there is the manufacturer's logo, MIIW and in the opposite the knob and socket for the micro usb plug. Power in the mouse pad? Yes, it is equipped with inductive charging, LED lighting around the dial and Bluetooth connectivity to adjust the volume of the paired device.
The place where you can charge devices that support inductive charging has been dotted, located on the right. Only one device will fit on it, a normal pad will follow. For Apple fans, it will not be possible to charge Apple Watch and iPhone at the same time.
The charger included in the kit has 5V voltage, i.e. standard. In most cases, you can opt out of it and connect the other end of the cable to your laptop or monitor. I used the second option, everything works.
From the bottom there is a non-slip surface TPU, there is no chance that the pad will "ride" on the desk. She probably stays in the place where she was placed.
The protective sticker is glued to the factory, on which there is a short instruction manual. How to operate the LED illumination around the knob, where the box for inductive charging is located and how to control the volume of the device paired via Bluetooth.
The pad works very well, the skid is suitable. I've paired with a Macbook via Bluetooth and volume control is really useful. I prefer to use the dial rather than the keyboard. The MIIIW product has an application for managing and performing updates. It is available only on Windows and weighs 8 mb. I tried to download but the transfer is 0 kb / s, sometimes it jumps to 4 kb / s. I quit, I will try later. For induction charging I have no objections, it works as it should. The pad is so large that there is no risk of moving the smartphone with the mouse while moving the cursor on the screen.
Visually, it's a pity that there is a cord. For fans of minimalism on the desk, it will definitely spoil the effect. Continuous power supply is needed for charging an inductive smartphone, maybe in a future version MIIIW decides to put a very thin powerbank on the entire surface of the pad? Only powerbank will also need to be charged and the wheel closes.
LED backlight works differently, I can not find a common language with it. It would definitely help an application on a PC, maybe I can download, I will try. For the first few minutes the changing light that I saw from the corner of my eye distracted me, now I do not pay attention.
Next month I will add another entry and present my impressions after a long time of communing with a mouse pad with induction charging from Xiaomi.
